I installed JMS Multisites 1.2.97 on a Joomla! 2.5.11 site that was running JMS Multisites 1.2.92

There are two problems:

1. Components > Check Patches still shows JMS Multisites 1.2.92 is installed (though Extensions Manager shows the correct version)

2. Components > MultiSites > Check Upgrades returns this error:
"Error connecting to the server: failed to open stream: no suitable wrapper could be found"

0) First JMS 1.2.97 can not be installed on Joomla 2.5.10 or higher.
You need to use JMS 1.3.10 or higher to be compatible with Joomla 2.5.10.
They have changed their installer that is uncomptible with version prior the 2.5.10
See bug tracker 30206 that we have reported to Joomla.

Perhaps that you can post a message to Joomla to also report that their update is not compatible with previous version and had a regression bug.

1) You probably got an error when trying to install JMS 1.2.97 on J2.5.10 or higher.
So Joomla didn't installed JMS 1.2.97 and you probably continue to have 1.2.92

2) Perhaps that you server does not allow performing call to the outside.

Thanks for the response. If we have purchased 1.2 are we eligible for an upgrade to 1.3.10 or is that sold separately?

As you can read in other place in this forum, when there is an upgrade of version, we provide a discount coupon to all existing customer who have purchased the previous version within the last 12 month to buy the new version at a lower price.

After 12 month, we consider that you have to rebuy the new version.
