Frontpage Slideshow gets confused! 12 Years, 4 Months ago

Hi,
The Frontpage Slideshow (by JoomlaWorks) is getting it's images confused. The module slides share similar id's on both slave site and main site, so when I add a new slide on one site, which creates the ID already existing on the other site, the image picked on the front end is switched with the other. Could you kindly let me know what the solution for this is please?
Thanks

If the front page slide show seems to save the images in the "/media" directory.
Therefore, if this directory is shared between the websites, you will share the images between the websites.
Perhaps you should have to create a copy of the "/media" directory.

OK - sorry if this seems like a daft question, but by 'copy' do you mean the following:
Go to JMS Component > Templates > shMasterSubdomain > Folders & Files > media and from the dropdown select Copy:copy the file or folder. ?
Should I also do this for shGroupDomain if the above is correct?

YES this is what I mean.
Becarefull that once you will have performed a copy, you will have to maintain the content of this directory "manually". So if you install other extension that are storing subdirectories, you will have to "synchronize" them.

OK Done that but nothing happened. Should I also copy the entire media directory into /public_html/multisites/slave_site ?
Also, with manually maintaining, do you mean that if a component creates a file /public_html/media/mod_new_component I need to manually copy it in /public_html/multisites/slave_site/media ?

If you have currently a symbolic link, you need to delete the link before proceeding with the copy.
Yes if later an extension add a subdirectory, you will have to copy it manually.
