I'm not sure what to do about this,

I'm having problems setting crons for slave sites?

In normal circumastances is should be something like

lynx -source "www.community-i-belfast.com/index.php?op...&task=cron" > /dev/null 2>&1

However, I cab;t work out whether it should have /en/ before index.php or whether it should use something like /home/webaccount/domains/etc

any thoughts?

I'm also struggling with some of the social network apps that require domain authentication as they only accept the base domain....having the /en/ appended makes it fail all the time.

Again...any thoughts?

/en or /fr in the URL let me suppose that you are using Joomla 2.5 with the select language detection.

Perhaps you should disable the select language detection plugin present in joomla 2.5

Under joomla 1.5 and JoomFish, there is also a plugin to manage the browser language detection.

In the case of the cron, I suppose that he query executed use a browser like "english" version that would explain the /en added in the URL by the website.
