Would the software be fit for the purpose of this job spec which i have received this morning. If so I would be more than happy to purchase it.

Simple landing page with information displayed
1) Member signs up and makes a payment on the homepage. (around £14.95)
2) Once paid, the member is allocated their own unique homepage url for their account.
(ie) www.mailmoney.com/1196
anybody that signs up via this url would register some commission into the new members account.

On a members home url would be five members names 1 to 5
all five of these members are paid commission on anybody that signs up from this page. (around £2 each)
when someone signs up, they then get their own url with member 1 moving off the page and the new member goes into position no 5.
Basically, every time someone subscribes, it allocates them a duplicate copy of the home url page but moves all the members names up one space and the new member would be in position no 5.
This would need to have a facility to accept payments online like paypal.
Please could you let me know what the cost to develop this website would be.

summary of requirements
1) landing page, with contact button
2) Sign up form. name, address, email, tel, user id & password
3) url auto generation. ( for new member to promote)
4) Paypal integration
5) Site admin to check on sign ups and pay commissions
6) Members log in to check commission earned/owed

you describe an affiliation program.

With JMS you can partially do this job.
With JMS, the process is not exactly as you wish.
First you have to register on a master website to have access to the JMS form that allow define some parameter for the creation of the slave site.
The slave site (your member homepage) is created by JMS in a "pending" status and the customer (member) is redirected to the VirtueMart checkout (if you use our bridge plugin product).
Once the payment is performed using the VirtueMart processing, the "bridge for VM product" update the status of the slave site with the value of virtuemart (Confirmed, Cancel, ...)
Once the slave site is confirmed, it can be see from internet.

JMS does not manage the payment and you pay commissions.

With JMS, you have the possibiity to add special PHP script to perform the additional task and manage for example your commissions.
You could also develop your own plugin like the "Bridge for VirtueMart" to compute those commission.

With JMS, the slave site is created before the payment.
You can also specify in JMS a validity duration of the website.

In summary the steps with VirtueMart plugins :
1) Create an account using the VirtueMart login form
2) Once logged into Joomla, use the menu corresponding to the JMS slave site creation
Probably you could redirect automatically the VM login into the JMS website creation
4) Enter the website parameter and build it.
5) Once built, redirect the user to VM check out to pay its website ordering
6) Once the payment is received using any payment method accepted by VM (PayPal exists), the VM status and JMS website status is updated.

That all.
The commission is not computed and I suggest to develop a specific Plugin based on our Plugin to compute and save the commission of the member.
Once the commission will be stored, you will have to develop an interface to show them to your members.
