You have to check that the "deploy folder" of the slave site (not the master directory) contain the "configuration.php" file or at least the "installation" directory to allow calling the "Joomla installer".
If both are missing, you have this error message.

All is already explained in my previous reply.

You have both the /installation AND the /configuration.php file that are missing.
So check that you have at least the /installation and that it contains a real full installation directory to allow joomla call the Joomla web installer.
