i understand the sharing has to be set from the beginning..that's what i am trying to do. this is a brand new site and slave... i've deleted the slave, and re-installed, several times all ready, to test.

see my screen shot above...we have sharing set, but somethign is not working. under the "sharing" tab in the website template we have selected to share joomla users, kuena, and virtuemart....

Where are we going wrong?

I was able to follow the video 16 instructions and create the share rule. this seems to have worked. now the #_users tables are shared, including the #_kuena_users table.

i can see the users in the control pannel for both the slave and master and can create new users in each that show up in the other.

But here's the problem. I can not actually log onto the slave (joomla, or kuena) ???? it doesnt' take the username/password.

now i know i'm close, but what gives now?

well, problem seems fixed. i switched computers and the log-ins started working. maybe something in the cache?? anyway, i'm gonna call it good on this topic for the moment.

Clearing the cache helped with my login issue as well - I will report this in the other thread that I posted.
