Hi I encountered same error says "MakeDB - DB Connection fail.WARNNOTCONNECTDB" I configured the multisites.cfg.php with the ff.

define( 'MULTISITES_DIR_RIGHTS', 0755);
define( 'MULTISITES_DB_GRANT_HOST', 'localhost');
define( 'MULTISITES_DB_ROOT_USER', 'root');
define( 'MULTISITES_DB_ROOT_PSW', 'root_password');

It is right that the HOST/USER/PASS is based in the configuration file?

please help me, I'm running out of time, I want to solve this ASAP..
anybody have a good heart.

I configure mutlisites.cfg.php file and the HOST/UN/POST I putted is based in the configuration file right but same error "MakeDB - DB Connection fail.WARNNOTCONNECTDB". please help me..

If this is with the latest version of JMS then you have to debug to know the reason.
Clearly, JMS try to conenct on the DB and it fails.

Perhaps you are trying to connect on another MySQL type (MySQLI)
