TOPIC: JPATH_ROOT JPATH_BASE issue
#7322
JPATH_ROOT JPATH_BASE issue 12 Years, 11 Months ago Karma: 0
Currently i am running a master site and a slave site.

I have modules and plugins installed which uses the JPATH_ROOT & JPATH_BASE defintion to point to a directory of images.

But on the slave sites the JPATH_BASE & JPATH_ROOT still point to the mastersite and not to the slave images directory.

Is there a solution for this problem?

No the JPATH_BASE & JPATH_ROOT point to the slave site.
If they have other values, this probably mean that you connected on the master website and not on a slave site.
You have to check that you have the correct domain URL.
It is case sensitive.

So cross-check that you spelled the domain correctly.
In case of domain, verify that you have defined your slave site with both WWW and without WWW definition to ensure they are synonyms.

hi folks,
I found the same problem using Joomla1.7 e JMS 1.2.60.
On a slave site we see a wrong setting of JPATH_BASE & JPATH_ROOT so components and cache store information in the master folder instead of the slave folder.
Any fix?

With Joomla 1.7, we strongly recommend to always use the latest JMS version.
The current latest version is 1.2.63 where we fix several issue with Joomla 1.7

See the faq for the procedure to get the latest version

Hello,
i just upgraded my installation of multisites but problem remain the same.
When i call function JPATH_BASE it value will be master directory and not multisite directory.

I doubled checked my configuration in particular site path in administration and all was ok.

So have you a tip or trick to solve this problem?

I found same problem in cached files

Thank you in advance
Federico

If JPATH_BASE is the master, this is probably because JMS discover that you are connected on the master. Otherwisz you would have the slave site deployed directory.

Are you sure that you are connected on the slaves sites and that you have the JPATH_BASE of the master.
If you want that I have a look in your environment, this is still possible with our billable support that you can order at
