TOPIC: Hikashop Share

Hikashop Share 13 Years ago Karma: 0
I have some problems with hikashop sharing. Hikashop stock some module id in his tables.
In #__hikashop_config for example the component stock some configuration for itemID or module_id.

If you have two sites and says, one have a module Product_related at id 22 and on the other a login module at id 22.
On one site, you will have a product page with product_related on bottom and on the other site you will have a product page with login module.

Can you fix that ?

No.
The only fix that I can do is to remove the Hikashop sharing as you have identified a problem of data model consistency.

This is the kind of things that I try indentifying during my review to decide if I share or exclude an extension from the sharing.

So based on your information, the only choice is to remove Hikashop from the sharing.

I will try reproducing the behavior that you described in case where I could find a solution that I don't see now.

Hi Edwin,

Thanks for your reply.
Please do not remove support for Hikashop.
Hikashop is gradually becoming the number 1 Joomla e-commerce component.
Most developpers now want to use Hikashop instead of Virtuemart because Hikashop respect the MVC model while Virtuemart doesn't.
Thanks for your help.

Samuel.
