I have a master and a slave site, 2 separate db's because only some articles are being shared, but really all articles are on one db. The problem that I am having is that the search function on the slave site is searching the db with no articles and thus is not showing any results. How can I set the search function to search the master articles?

You have to select in the MultsitesSearch plugins the websites where you want to perform the search.
In other words, when the pluginS are enabled, select on which websites where you want that the search is applied.
If you want the master website + slave site then select them.

Go in each plugins:
- Multsites Content
- Multisites Categories
- Multisites Sections

and review their parameters.

Did you purchase the MultisitesSearch product ?

When you go in the Joomla / Plugins menu, you select the "Multistes Content" or Multisites categories or Multisites Sections (only in joomla 1.5) and there you can select in which website you want to perform the search.
