When using the FTP layer, must check very carefull the FTP root path that you provide in the FTP configuration.
Perhaps your bad response comes from a bad path.

You must also check that you have provide the correct FTP host, login and password.
You can test them with an FTP tools and provided exactly the same value (for example copy/past there value)

Using the joomla FTP layer is a feature provided by standard joomla and not JMS.

I am very sure the path is correct which is /public_html. I have also test to login using FTP account and password.

I have tried install and reinstall many times still having the same problem.

Will it because im using quick start template?

What is quick start template.

The error message says that it can not copy using the FTP.
So if the FTP login is correct and the path is correct then you have to check that you have permission to write in the specified directory.

It seems that the login is ok but not possible to perform the copy operation.
I suggest that you try manually to perform the same operation with your FTP tool.

Perhaps the problem is that you had a timeout during the installation and that some file are not present (I don't know).
To check this hypothesis, you can start by unzip the JMS extension into a temporary directory in your website and after try install it from this directory (not from package).

If you want that we install and confgure your server, you can order our billable support at

Just use the joomla standard installation procedure from a directory.
Go in joomla / extension / installation
Enter the path to your temporary unzipped directory into the "installl from a directory"
and install
