TOPIC: Slave site template issue
#10401
Slave site template issue 11 Years, 10 Months ago Karma: 0
Hello,
I thought I'd start a new thread since the last one got marked as solved.

I have a template site from which I deploy slaves using the share the whole site shared database option. I specify the templates/theme path to deploy a copy using the copy option so slave sites should have their own template files.

The sites deploy properly and the theme images in the theme are correctly pulled from their specific deploy directory, but edits to the theme index.php are not effective. Instead, slave sites use the template site's theme index.php file.

I've confirmed that the subdomain deploy dir mappings are correct.
Please assist.

Thanks,

If you are not editing the correct /templates directory this is probably due to a wrong cPanel subdomain definition.
You subdomain has probably a "document root" that correspond to another website (perhaps the master). Verify that both the cPanel subdomain "document root" and the JMS deploy directory correspond to the same path.

On the slave site, the document root is correctly pointing at:
/home/domain.com/public_html/multisites/slave
I've confirmed this by echo $_SERVER['DOCUMENT_ROOT
]

Sorry but I don't see the cause.

Do you use a special admin tool in the back-end ?
Do you use a special joomla templates in the back-end that would overwrite the standard joomla one ?

Do you have the same issue with standard joomla template like purity ?
