How to configure in already installed sites 11 Years, 10 Months ago Karma: 0
Hi,

I have 5 joomla websites each are in respective subdomains. Now I want a single login system among all these 5 websites.

I tried by configuring a slave, but overwriting the subdomain websites.

I just need a single user table and login for all 5 websites.

Please help me to fix it.

Do you use JMS ?
If yes, did you shared the users between the website.
This is a decision taken when you created the slave site ?

Verify that the users are shared with the JMS tool menu / table tabs.
There you should see at least a link icon for the #__users and #__sessions tables.

If you want to remain logged between different subdomains of a same domain, in joomla 1.5, JMS automatically allows sharing the users between the first domain of the slave site ID.
Under joomla 2.5, you need to setup the Joomla global configuration with the "cookie_domain" value that correspond to your subdomain.

I already gave you the procedure with JMS

Do you use JMS and did you shared the users between the websites with JMS

The tutorial video 16 show how to share the users.
www.jms2win.com/en/tutorial#jms12x-16

So start to check if you already have shared the users between the websites.

As you didn't replied to any questions, I can not tell you more

Which Joomla version ?
Did you installed JMS ?
Did you already shared the users between the website (see the JMS tool) ?

Hi,

Thanks for sharing the video. I will try with the video steps.

I jabe installed JMS and shared. My Joomla version is 1.5.

I used different naming style in URL's. Now I will try with the video procedure and let you know my result.

Thanks.

Hi,

When I am trying as it was in video, It is overwriting my existing slave sites. How to prevent with overwriting the slave sites? Is it possible to copy some necessary files to the slave sites?
