Slave site moved 11 Years, 8 Months ago Karma: 0
Hello
I have moved the slave site to another server.
Clean install, clean database..everything is ok.
However, I want to see the articles of the slave site, on old server.

I can see the the frontpage by accessing the direct link: www.mastersite.com/multisites/slavesite

But i dont know what's the administrator link, for this slave site.
Can you help me?
Joomla: 1.5.22
JMS: Multisites for Joomla! 1.5.x
Version 1.1.24
Patches definition Version 1.1.11

Thank you in advance.

I don't see how you could move only the slave site without the master as the slave site must have symbolic link to connect on the master.

I suppose that you have 2 masters.
One on the older server and another one on the new server.

If you have moved the master and the slave site on a new server, the article should also be present in the new server.

I don't understand why you want to read the articles from the old server.

The concept of JMS is based on the sharing of the same joomla application (php code).
Therefore all the websites must be on the same server.

If you want to display articles from another server, this suppose that you have another domain on this server. In this case, you can create a joomla external link that redirect the users on the other domain.

Yes, my mistake.
I have 2 servers. And 2 masters ofcourse.
I want to be able to access the administrator of slave site on old server.
And I dont know the path.
www.site.com/multisites/slave1/ - very good - it fully works.
www.site.com/multisites/slave1/administrator - not working. Is accessing the master administrator, but I want the slave administrator.

How I can do that?
Thank you

If the www.site.com/multisites/slave1 is working from the front-end, this is because you have deployed the slave site in this directory (probably {site_dir}

To render correctly a slave site, it is required that the domain in defined in the slave site. If it is not defined, this display the master website (or you had an error (red messgae) when you save the slave site).

So verify that you have the "www.site.com/multisites/slave1" defined in the slave site definition.
Verify also that you have a "blue" message when you save the slave site definition.

YES if you have provided a domain or a subdomain to access it.
Otherwise, if you have move the definition to the new server, the answer is NO.

If you have keept your older server, perhaps it has a new domain name or domain name that was not public and that you could use to create a subdomain.
