TOPIC: No configuration file found and no installation co

No configuration file found and no installation co 13 Years ago Karma: 0
I installed the multisite at godaddy.
the master is in welproma.com/joomla. I created a /joomlapa for the slave site.

The admin prortion going to joomlapa/administratort seems to work, but the welproma.com/joomlapa gives me a one-liner:
"No configuration file found and no installation code available. Exiting..."Did I miss something.

Rather than the links in the template site I chose to copy most as I will be making changes to the slave in Spanish.

The standard joomla error message is clear.

You don't have the "installation" directory and you don't have the "configuration.php" file.
When there is no "configuration.php" file, the installation is used to provide the "Joomla installer" processing.

In your case both are not present.

Verify that you correctly installed the patches in the master that also restore the "installation" directory.
As you have created a specific rule, verify that you have the "installation" directory created.

This is not because you want to create a website in another language that you have to copy directories.
If you are copying directories, you will have to maintain these duplicated directories manually.
Jms Multisite does not provide "synchronisation" of directories.

The concept is based on the sharing of the PHP code and not in its duplication that require synchronisation.

I'm getting the same error but the installation file is clearly present in the directory, JMS just doesn't seem to be reading it.

I'm using Joomla 1.5.23, I've checked the patches and everything seems to be fine.

Thanks!

It worked fine until I decided to delete the slave sites I created and start again, and now the error is back.

I've double-checked everything... What could I be missing?
