Does this mean that if you create an akeeba backup and you restore it at the exact same place, you won't experience problems except the unwritable configuration.php file?

Concerning Akeeba Backup, personnaly I was never able to use it sucessfully but I have few customer that use it with success.

If you want to use a backup, you can also use our free download shell script that perform a native backup with linux and MySQL.

Sorry but as I never had success with Akeeba backup, I can not advise you on this extension. Just test it yourself and perhaps you will get succes. That never been my case.

Verify your backup once it is created because in my case, I never been able to restore with success in despite that Akeeba report backup successfully.
