Slave took over main domain name... 11 Years ago Karma: 1
A slave site took over my domain name. The urls in the domain box was http://{site_ur} and I changed it to {site_url} because I thought it was a mistake and just decided to "fix" it. Well, once it did that, I had to login to the site again and then when I tried to change the domains for that site to just its normal domain name it said:

The deployed directory can not be your root website.

Now when I go to my website: deployed.tangerinefiles.com it shows the slave site!!!! Please how do I fix this asap?

The fact that you are runing under J1.5 is not the problem.

If you have added a slave site that inludes the master website in his list, effectivelly the master is become a slave sites.

2 possibilities:
1) Either you create a fake subdomain that point to you master "document root" directory.
In this case the new subdomain will be used as the master because it is not defined as a slave site.

2) You disable temporarly JMS to fix the slave site definition and you restore it just after.
To do that, you can add a file or a folder with the name
/includes/multisites_disable.php

When it is present, this disable Jms Multi Sites.
